CHARLY'S BAKERY

20/12/10

Bravo the summer season is upon us again and I am having a ball already and this is the introduction of something old. Eating out and binging with me Tanki Em.

My starting point would be Charly’s Bakery. Now this is a spot that was introduced to me by my mom. I had a sad week and an even sadder morning a few years back and she called me to town for some lunch. We went to Charly’s bakery and I took a cupcake and brownie to-go. OH My GAWSH did I fall inlove or what!, since she passed away about a month ago I have been a sea of moods and drama and seemingly get upset over everything till my 2day love affair with the bakery, walking into the bakery makes me feel like Alice in wonderland, or Eve in the garden of Eden, so sinfully blissful and enticing to the eyes. Its all about the feeling of getting lost in sugar coated delicacies, mountain of chocolate done in so many designs.

The smell of the bakery is one that playes with you, the assistance at the shop is one laced with smiles and that wicked and naughty look that says “You can Have whatever you want at Charly’s “ clearly if I was not on a budget I would have walked out with more then just a Chocolate muffin and a mini chocolate loaf dusted with a grated log of light chocolate, The place makes it impossible for you to choose anything, the bright color cupcakes with little notes on them make it painful to leave without having taken at least two. Then again if you want to chill and laze out, then your are welcome to do so while ordering a few treats to nibble on while you chill out at Charly’s Bakery, A Cape Town Spot of NOTE for your sweet tooth.

From what I see Charly’s is not just about cakes and treats its about adding sex appeal, fun, entertainment and that sweet tease to every bite on any treat, and that was my Monday love affair, I beamed from every corner to sink my teeth into what we bought, my moment with a mini chocolate loaf put a boost to my week and that’s all thanks to Charly’s Bakery situated on NO 38 Canterbury Street in Zonnebloem and for more details feel free to have a look at their website www.charlysbakery.co.za. Call them on 021 461 5181 and trust me when I say, “the other person on the other line will be nice” After all they work with nice treats and bits. This is YOUR SUMMER FIX of hot spots 2010
