Cartier to sponsor L'Ormarins Queen's Plate in 2016

This is totally that time you freak out a bit because, OPULENCE!. The 155th Queen’s Plate, sponsored by Drakenstein Stud Farm and Anthonij Rupert Wyne since 2005, will take place on Saturday, 9th January 2016 at Kenilworth Racecourse, Cape Town and Cartier is on board for the one taking place in just a few days.
A world-renowned jewellery and watch brand, Cartier, will be sponsoring the L'Ormarins Queen's Plate in 2016 because, hello! Cape Town's premier horse-race event needs nothing but the grandest of the grand to pair up with. Internationally, the Cartier brand as a longstanding relationship with equestrian sporting codes under the banners of the "Cartier International Day" the "Cartier World Elephant Polo Championships" and the "Cartier Polo World Cup" on Snow back in the hey days.
Some side FYI's and side notes
Both Ladies and Gentlemen are required to dress in a manner appropriate to a smart occasion adhering to the dress code of blue and white. Outfits should be elegant.
Ladies are required to dress smartly and encouraged to wear a hat or fascinator. Stiletto heels are not recommended due to the terrain. No jeans, shorts or fancy dress is permitted.
Gentlemen are required to wear jackets and ties, cravats or a smart, open neck shirt and trousers. Linen suits and a waistcoat with the archetypal panama can also be worn. No jeans, shorts, sleeveless shirts, open shoes or fancy dress is permitted.
The L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate reserves the right to bar access to guests who are not dressed in appropriate racing attire and within the blue and white dress code.
Parking is available on the in-field at Kenilworth Racecourse off Wetton Road for all guests who have pre-purchased event tickets. Guests are urged to use taxi services which will be present on the day.
